Social-Emotional Learning
Here at KAS emotional and social learning goes hand and hand with our students’ academics. With this in mind, Cassandra Lieb, our school behavioral therapist, works closely with the teachers to not only provide support for students, but for families and staff as well. In order for students to learn and to be successful, they must be provided with a safe and supportive environment. By creating an environment of growth and understanding where students and staff can feel able to share and cope with their mental health, we can empower them to be their best selves and to reach their goals.
Cassandra has a Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology from Chatham University. Over the past several years Cassandra has provided mental health care in settings including schools, therapeutic summer camps, and outpatient offices. Cassandra specializes in working from a neurodiversity perspective with individuals with difficulty with anxiety, ADHD, and those who are on the Autism Spectrum. Cassandra continues to provide outpatient therapy to teens and adults when she is not working in a school setting.
